Turkish Ambassador to Azerbaijan Hulusi Kilic gave interview to
ANS TV station commenting on Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan’s
statement that he would visit Turkey in case the border is open or
some improvement is made.
"About 50 days left before the football meeting and if honorable
president wants, he could do that," the Ambassador said emphasizing
that Turkish President Abdulah Gul wanted to be present at the football
match and he did that.
It is also said that the Ambassador has commented on the
possibilities to open Armenian-Turkish border. "If there is progress
in Azerbaijan-Armenia talks on Nagorno-Karabakh, then Turkey-Armenia
relations will also succeed," Ambassador said.
Mr. Kilic stressed that the progress in the latter is suspended as
there is no advancement in the former.
