MEETING HELD IN BURBANK IN HONOR OF PAUL KREKORIAN, CANDIDATE OF CITY COUNCIL ELECTIONS OF LOS ANGELES

LOS ANGELES, AUGUST 27, NOYAN TAPAN – ARMENIANS TODAY. A Meeting Was Held At
the Western Diocese Primacy of Los Angeles city of Burbank which was
dedicated to Armenian Paul Krekorian who has nominated his candidature for
the City Council Elections of Los Angeles.

The event was initiated by participants of Los Angeles Intellectual Forum
under the leadership of doctor Edik Azizian. The latters being well-informed
of the rich working activity of Paul Krekorian have decided to support
Armenian Paul Krekorian who has nominated his candidature for the City
Council Elections of Los Angeles.

Archbishop of the Western Diocese of North America Hovnan Derderian opened
the ceremony and addressed his patriarchal wishes to those present and Paul
Krekorian.

Gayane Manukian expressed support on behalf of the participants of the
Forum, then manager of Paul Krekorian’s electoral work Adrin Nazarian
briefly presented the biography and working activity of Paul Krekorian.

RA Consul General in Los Angeles Grigor Hovhannisian, Assistant to Los
Angeles Chief of Police Sheriff Li Baka Tevan Arustamian, representatives of
a number of organizations, individual businessmen, officials were also
present at the event. They had come to assist Paul Krekorian.

The participants of Intellectual Forum are sure that such an event can be a
connecting link for uniting the Armenians of the United States who came from
different sides of the world around one project, which in its turn will join
the community with individuals having intellectual and sound mind, which
both the Community and each Armenian will use.

Paul Krekorian particularly noted in his speech that the active
participation of the community has always had an important role in his life
and that he expects the assistance of our compatriots also in these
elections.

P. Krekorian thanks the organizers of the event, all those present, and at
the end of his speech he gave a special diploma of thanks by the CA State
Assembly to RA Consul General in Los Angeles Grigor Hovhannisian and to the
captain of the Armenia sailer making a world-round voyage for organizing a
high reception in San Pedro port.

The participants of the Intellectual Forum are sure that the Armenians of
Los Angeles will assist and give their vote to the candidate for City
Council Elections of Los Angeles Paul Krekorian.
