"The foreign policy of Armenia is aimed at solving a series of
questions which mainly refer to two most important questions:
security and development", – today said Zohrab Mnatsakanyan, Permanent
Representative of Armenia at the Council of Europe, during the meeting
with the students of French University.

"We have several directions which are basic directions by the help
of which we support the solution of these two problems", – mentioned
Z. Mnacakanyan.

In the question of security and development of Armenia the speaker
attached great importance to the role of Russia as a strategic partner,
and the role of Europe and USA as the bases of this formula.

Coming up to the Russian and EU’s sometimes tough relations
Z. Mnatsakanyan mentioned that Armenia is very sensitive for the
events that occur during those relations.

Touching upon the political "victory and loss" Z. Mnacakanyan said
"In the foreign policy you very often be in the process and not in
the simple victory or loss".

"The process of NKR conflict is a difficult one. We have our
principles. We need the conclusion of that question, but this is also
a negotiation", – mentioned the speaker.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
