STEPANAKERT CELEBRATES 18TH ANNIVERSARY OF NKR INDEPENDENCE

/PanARMENIAN.Net/ Festivities dedicated to the 18th anniversary of
independence of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic kicked off in Stepanakert
today. First President of NKR and second President of Armenia Robert
Kocharian, second President of NKR Arkady Ghukasian, President
of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan, Major General Arkady Ter-Tadevosyan
(Commandos) and other officials arrived in the capital of Nagorno
Karabakh on the occasion.

The events started with the ceremony of laying wreaths to the
tomb of first chairman of Nagorno Karabakh Supreme Council Arthur
Lazarian. Then the ranking officials paid tribute to those killed
in Artsakh liberation war and attended the military parade in
Stepanakert’s central square.

Head of Arstakh Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church, Archbishop
Pargev Martirosyan consecrated the repaired military hospital in the
NKR capital.
