NIKOLAY BORDYUZHA: AZERBAIJAN NOT GOING TO JOIN CSTO

ArmInfo. Azerbaijan is not going to join the Collective Security
Treaty Organization (CSTO), Nikolay Bordyuzha, CSTO Secretary General,
said at a video press conference Yerevan-Moscow on Thursday.

"At least Azerbaijan and the CSTO Secretariat has never negotiated for
that," he said. Armenia assumed CSTO rotating chairmanship in 2008 from
Kyrghyzstan. Belarus refused to participate in CSTO Summit in Moscow
and Russia has assumed temporary chairmanship from Armenia. The CSTO,
a security group comprising Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan,
Russia, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan, agreed in early February to form
rapid reaction forces.
