"I disagree that the central office of the Armenian National Congress
(HAK) voiced support for Serzh Sargsyan in its statement," Speaker for
Opposition leader Levon Ter-Petrosyan, Arman Musinyan, said to
A1+. "It is too difficult to express an opinion in a statement."

To disperse all ungrounded doubts Mr. Musinyan advises attending HAK’s
rally of September 18. "The rally will give answers to many questions
including the recent developments over Armenian-Turkish relations. All
arguments will be exhausted."

With regard to the difference of opinions in the Congress over the
statement, Arman Musinyan said:

Congress is a pluralistic organisation and this is our advantage. The
parties affiliated with the Congress cooperate over definite issues
stipulated in the Congress Declaration and we are always unanimous
over them.

Political forces are free to have different viewpoints on separate
issues and we welcome their stance," added Mr. Musinyan.

Asked whether HAK’s member-parties had agreed upon the statement,
Mr. Musinyan said: "The statement was issued in the result of joint
consultations."
