Released parliamentarian has guests

11:08 / 09/05/2009Armenia’s first president Levon Ter-Petrosyan, the
Parliament members Myasnik Malkhasyan and Hakob Hakobyan, ex-deputy
prosecutor general of Armenia Gagik Jhanguiryan and others visited the
Parliament member Khachatur Sukiasyan, was released on his own
recognizance last night.

Yesterday Sukiasyan refused to answer journalists’ questions and
promised to do it later.

The RA Prosecutor’s Office told NEWS.am that preliminary investigation
body released the Parliament member Khachatur Sukiasyan on his own
recognizance. The special investigation service made the decision, as
Sukiasyan, who had been on the list of wanteds since March 5, 2008,
gave himself up on September 2, 2009. It is noteworthy that a similar
act on te part of Editor-in-Chief of the the Haykakan Zhamanak
(Armenian Times) newspaper Nikol Pashinyan did not secure his against
being arrested.
