585,164 users connected to gas consumption system of Armenia as of

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 4, NOYAN TAPAN. 585,164 users were connected to
Armenia’s gas consumption system of as September 1, 2009. The number of
gas consuming users grew by 11,209 in the first 8 months of 2009,
including 1,803 users in August, NT was informed by the PR service of
ArmRusgazprom CJSC.
According to the same source, under the decision of the Armenian
government, 21,812 safety devices were installed at apartments of gas
consumers in August of this year. As of September 1, 178,906 safety
devices were installed at apartments of users instead of 167 thousand
devices as envisaged by the timetable.
The company launched the program on the installation of safety devices
(alarms) at apartments of gas consuming users in Armenia in December
2008 and plans to finish it in 2010. It is envisaged installing 250
thousand safety devices in 2009.
