Meetings of Syrian-Armenian Joint Committee for Cooperation Kick Off on Sunday

The 5th session of the Syrian-Armenian Joint Committee for Commercial,
Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation will kick off on Sunday
at the Armenian capital Yerevan.

The Syrian delegation is headed by Minister of Economy and Trade
Dr. Amer Housni Lutfi, with the participation of the Assistant
Ministers of Electricity and Transport, the Assistant Chairwoman of
the State Planning Commission, and representatives of the Ministries
of Communications, Housing, Industry, Higher Education, Agriculture,
Economy, Labor and the Central Bank of Syria.

Sources at the Ministry of Economy stated that the Committee will
discuss means for bolstering cooperation between the two countries in
economic, commercial, investment, scientific, technical and tourist
fields, in addition to signing a number of agreements, memos of
understanding, and cooperation protocols.

The two sides will discuss the previous agreements that were
implemented, the possibility of bolstering the role of businessmen,
and holding joint fairs and expos in order to improve trade exchange
between the two countries.
