OPENING TURKISH-ARMENIAN BORDER TO SOLVE REGIONAL PROBLEMS: TURKISH FOREIGN MINISTRY

Opening the Turkish-Armenian border is aimed at strengthen peace in
the Caucasus, Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu, on a visit
to Georgia, said at a joint briefing with Georgian Foreign Minister,
Grigol Vashadze.

"It does not just concern Turkish-Armenian relations, but also solving
regional problems," he said.

He said that Turkey wants conflict in the Caucasus, which has frozen
into a stalemate, to be solved and for peace to be established in
the region.
