RA MFA AND AMBASSADORS’ DELEGATION PAID A VISIT TO NKR

A delegation of the Republic of Armenia’s MFA staff and RA diplomatic
corps abroad, headed by Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian, paid a
two-day visit to Stepanakert.

The delegation members met with NKR President Bako Sahakian to discuss
a wide range of issues related to the foreign policy and the two
Armenian states’ collaboration in this sphere. During the meeting,
Bako Sahakian emphasized that official Stepanakert’s position on the
Azerbaijani-Karabakh conflict settlement remained unchanged.

"Any disputable issue should be resolved in a peaceful way, via a
direct and sincere dialogue", emphasized the President.

The Karabakhi head of state stressed that even slight weakening of
Artsakh’s independence and security was out of the question.

"These exceptional values cannot be a subject of bargaining", he noted.

NKR Foreign Minister Georgy Petrossian participated in the meeting.

Besides, the delegation members met with the NKR NA Deputies and
MFA staff.

"Similar meetings are an exceptional chance for us, the Artsakh
parliamentarians, to offer you directly our views on the Karabakh
conflict settlement process, as well as the issues on Armenia’s
foreign policy agenda", noted Parliament Speaker Ashot Ghulian.

An exchange of o pinions on a series of issues related to the current
stage of the Azerbaijani-Karabakh conflict settlement, intensification
of the parliamentary diplomacy, coordination of the activity in
the political arena, etc. took place. Some specific proposals were
introduced at the meeting.

Ashot Ghulian and Edward Nalbandian answered the meeting participants’
questions.
