YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 9, NOYAN TAPAN. The National Assembly can quietly
pass the amended tax package of the government. Chairman of the
NA Standing Committee on Economic Issues Vardan Aivazian expressed
this opinion at the September 9 press conference. According to him,
the tax package presented by the government envisages an increase of
30 billion drams in budgetary revenues.
He said that representatives of the tax bodies will be sent to
enterprises with a turnover of over 4 billion drams and they will
control the prices and amount of delivered goods only, and will also
check to whom these goods are delivered.
It was previously assumed that tax officials will be sent to 116
enterprises, whereas now their number has been reduced to 76 as
there will be no tax officials at the wine and brandy enterprises
representing a traditional branch of the Armenian economy.
