AMERIABANK SPENDS 300 MLN AMD ON TECHNICAL RE-EQUIPMENT

ArmInfo. Ameriabank has directed 300 mln AMD to technical re-equipment
of the bank. Ameriabank press-service told ArmInfo that the work in
this direction was launched in October 2008, and most part of the
work has already been completed.

According to the source, the bank has bought new equipment and launched
domestic information network complying with international standards
in the new building of the bank’s head office. The work done gave an
opportunity to the bank to create a reserve center and connect two
server centers with an optic cable, thereby ensuring uninterrupted
and continuous online communication between the head office and
its branches.

The source says the work on technical re-equipment was done under a
project worked out in March 2008. To select deliverers, Ameriabank
announced a tender, and the winning companies ensured the delivery
of about 80 types of up-to-date facilities, including IBM and
Cisco servers, Dell computers. To receive relevant certificates,
Ameriabank specialists were re-trained at IBM, Cisбo, Molex PM and
Microsoft.companies.
