THE FRENCH TROOP IN ARMENIA DUE TO ARMENIAN ACTOR

The troop of Irina Bruk from France is in Armenia to participate in the
Shakespeare international festival after V. Papazyan. In the frameworks
of the festival they will present 2 performances. As Jirayr Babazyan,
one of the French-Armenian actors of the troop told the theatre is
in Armenia by his suggestion, and by the invitation of the RA Culture
Ministry and the Union of the Armenian theater workers.
"Our stuff consists of 14 people, of which 3 are Armenians", – told
J. Babazyan and added that "as the Armenians make majority in the
troop so it would be shame to be in all the countries of the world
and not to be in Armenia."
On September 18 Irina Bruk will present the performance based on the
"Midnight dream" comedy of Shakespeare. The performance is called
"Waiting for the dream", and on September 20 in the frameworks of
the "Off" program of the festival will be presented a performance
called "Somewhere in Lamanch" which is based on the "Don Quixote"
of Cervantes.
"The performances are staged in French language but the Armenian
audience will have the opportunity to watch in Armenian subtitles",
– concluded his speech J. Babazyan.
