ArmInfo. A Magician’s Autumn – film by Ruben and Vahe Gevorkyants has
been nominated for Oscar Award for The Best Foreign Language Film. The
hero of the film is Tonino Guera, Fellini’s friend, poet, writer,
and scenario-writer. His name is connected with the cinematography
of the 20th century. Among the film directors he cooperated with are
Michelangelo Antonioni, Francesco Rosi and Andrey Tarkovsky. Guera is
one of Sergey Parajanov’s curators and made a proposal to organize a
photo exposition dedicated to Parajanov in Italy in 2008. A Magician’s
Autumn has already received a number of prestigious awards including
in the nomination History and Culture of the Golden Tambourine Festival
of TV Programs and Documentary Films and the award of the International
Festival "New Cinema 21st Century".

Director of the film, Chairman of the Union of Cinematographers
of Armenia Ruben Gevorkyants told ArmInfo actors Robert Redford,
Mel Gibson, and Jean-Pierre Nshanyan helped to advance A Magician’s
Autumn for Oscar. The film has already won 4 Grand Prizes at various
festivals, but Oscar was beyond wildest dreams, R. Gevorkyants said.
