Soccer: Red Devils Also Lose In Armenia

RED DEVILS ALSO LOSE IN ARMENIA

Anderlecht

After the disgrace against Spain the Red Devils also lost their game
against Armenia. After another bad game, it was 2-1. The national
team isn’t doing well and finds itself in a crisis.

In the beginning they played fairly well, but they couldn’t create
any chances. Armenia had less trouble with that because they created
chance after chance. At the rest, 1-0, was a fair score. After the
break the second goal followed quickly. Defour and Simons got blown
away by Hovsepyan. Anderlecht – player De Sutter brought more fire
to the team. He created chances, but had no luck finishing them. In
the end, Belgium managed to score one goal thanks to Van Buyten.

After the game national coach Frank Vercauteren quit his job. "If
you think you can’t bring something to the team anymore, you have
to leave," he said to Sporza. "I can’t go on after a game like
this. Apparently I couldn’t do what was needed and then I have to
take my responsibility."

Result: 2-1 Goals: 21′ Goharyan (1-0), 50′ Hovsepyan (2-0), 92′
Van Buyten (2-1)

Belgium: Gillet, Swerts, Van Buyten, Simons, Deschacht, Defour,
Martens (52′ De Sutter), Mirallas (72′ Hazard), De Camargo, Sonck
(81′ Lamah), Dembele.
