Azerbaijan, Baku, Sept.11. / Trend News J. Babayeva /

The Azerbaijani territory was completely indicated as Armenian on a
poster hanging on the walls of Pompeii, near the Colosseum in Rome.

The poster was placed in 2006, the Organization for Protection of
Historic and Cultural Monuments in the Occupied Azerbaijani Territories
reported on Sept.11.

The organization is concerned with this fact and hopes that the
Azerbaijani relevant agencies will take serious measures to prevent
similar cases.

The conflict between the two South Caucasus countries began in 1988
when Armenia made territorial claims against Azerbaijan. Armenian armed
forces have occupied 20 percent of Azerbaijan since 1992, including
the Nagorno-Karabakh region and 7 surrounding districts. Azerbaijan
and Armenia signed a ceasefire agreement in 1994. The co-chairs of
the OSCE Minsk Group – Russia, France, and the U.S. – are currently
holding the peace negotiations.
