At Bilbao Grand Slam Chess Final’s first tour of the second phase
Armenian grandmaster Levon Aronyan won Russian.

Thus Aronyan took revenge after he had lost to Grischuk in the
first round.

This is Levon Aronyan’s third victory in a row and he is currently
the top of tournament table with 9 points.

Grischuk managed to seed the second position as Kariakin-Shirov’s
party was finished with a draw. He brought 6 points to his portfolio.

Sergey Kariakin seeded the third with 5 points and Alexei Shirov
seeded the last with 2 points.

In the fifth round Levon Aronyan will play with Shirov (white to play)
and Grischuk will play with Karyakin
