THE THEMATIC EXHIBITION OF OSCAR WILD’S FAIRY TALES OPEN

In the frameworks of the Armenian – Irish conference in the museum
after Hovhannes Tumanian in Yerevan launched the thematic exhibition
of Oscar Wild’s fairy tales called the "A house of pomegranates".

There are presented also the illustrations of the novel of Natalia
Abelyan called "The Stone Novel of Ã~Iire" and the Armenian "Davit
of Sasun" epos by Ashot Mamajanyan.

The illustrations of Ashot Mamajanyan are provided by his family.

Natalia Abelian has presented also the photos of the historical
monuments of Ireland.

On the opening ceremony of the exhibition have been present the Irish
ambassador to Armenia, employees of the Matenadaran, and students.

"In the library of Hovhannes Tumanyan are preserved the translations
of Oscar Wild’s Fairy tales, which are also presented in the thematic
exhibition of the author", – said Marine Baghdasarian the responsible
for the museum fund.

The museum was of a great interest. The employee of the embassy of
Federal Republic of Germany to Armenia also visited the exhibition
and was impressed especially with the creations of Ashot Mamajanyan.

"These are very beautiful illustrations; they are done very expertly
and in details. From the heroes I recognized Sasunci Davit", – said
the visitor.

In the exhibition in Hovhannes Tumanyan museum will last till
September 21.
