ARMENIAN PRESIDENT SERZH SARGSIAN RECEIVES WORLD FAMOUS COMPOSER MICHEL LEGRAND

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 15, ARMENPRESS: Armenian President Serzh Sargsian
received today the world famous composer, pianist Michel Legrand who
will today have an exceptional concert in Yerevan.

Presidential Press Office told Armenpress that greeting the renowned
composer RA President Serzh Sargsian said: "For me it is a great
honor to meet you – one of the beloved sons of our nation, who has
a great investment in the world music of the second half of the 20th
century. It is thanks to bright individuals like you that our nation
becomes more recognized in the world. Armenians love you and are
proud of you".

The renowned composer told the President about his impressions from
the visit to Armenia.

"Every time when there is an occasion to visit Armenia it seems I
return to my ethnic roots. The Armenian music is close to my heart
and it flows in my veins," Michel Legrand noted.

President Sargsian and Michel Legrand also exchanged thoughts on
issues of all Armenian importance.

The President of the Republic awarded Michel Legrand with Armenian
Medal of Honor. President Sargsian signed the decree on awarding the
famous Armenian musician with Medal of Honor yesterday.
