"Dashnakcutyun Is Not Even A Soft-Opposition"

"DASHNAKCUTYUN IS NOT EVEN A SOFT-OPPOSITION"

Representative of "Armenian National Congress", David Shahnazaryan,
has called initiated by Mr. Serzh Sargsyan discussions with Armenian
political parties "an another frivolous and non-political step".

"This started after Turkey’s authorities had begun political
consultations with other political forces. I don’t absolutely expect
the political content," he said.

Proposals of "Dashnakcutyun" to amend bilateral ties between Armenia
and Turkey he also named not serious.

"Dashnakcutyun’s activity must be estimated based on its purely
inter-political processes. Well knowing that "Dashnakcutyun" does
not shine to be labeled of soft-opposition they try to avoid the
responsibility that rests on them over issues of both Armenian-Turkish
relations and Karabakh problem," Shahanazaryan noted.

According to him, thus, "Dashnakcutyun" tries "to hide its guilt in
issue of Armenian Genocide".

"They can be accused of anything but poor understanding of the
situation. They just try to say that is not their fault. They can
propose changes, and let Serzh Sargsyan receives them, and then the
proposals will be signed, nonetheless it will be a document of Serzh
Sargsyan-Dashnakcutyun," thinks Shahnazaryan.

"Dashnakcutyun" is a part of authorities, and this is a game inside
the authorities. Just have a look how the police provides their
safety during the hunger strike, and you will understand everything,"
said Shahnazaryan.

Emil Lazarian: “I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
