GABRIEL SARGSYAN HOLDS HIS SECOND CONSECUTIVE VICTORY IN INVENTICHESS-2009

/PanARMENIAN.Net/ In the 5th round of 15th category Inventichess-2009
tournament held in Antverpen, Belgium, Armenian grand master Gabriel
Sargsyan got the upper hand over England’s David Howell, thus
holding his second victory. Armenian grand master’s first victory
was registered in match against Antoaneta Stefanova (Bulgaria).

Let’s note that in the first round, Sargsyan defeated Etienne Bacrot
(France) while in the 2nd and 3rd rounds he played drawn games with
Israel’s Emil Sutovski and Poland’s Bartosh Sochko respectively.

Having earned 3 points after the 5 rounds, Sargsyan now shares 3rd-4th
positions of tournament table together with Slovenia’s Anna Muzychuk.

Sole tournament leader is Emil Sutovski who defeated Holland’s Yana
Timman thus earning 4 points. Etienne Bacrot who has 3.5 points
comes next.

During the 6th round Gabriel Sargsyan will compete against Indian
grand master Krishnan Sasikiran.
