The 5th youth film festival `It’s me’

The 5th `It’s me’ international youth festival will launch on
September 26 and will last till September 30, informed Nina Ordoyan
the coordinator and director of the film festival, to Aysor.am.

The festival used to take place every year and only in 2007 it was
decided to be held once in two years. This year the juries have chosen
136 films from 224 from such countries as the USA, Slovakia, Russia,
Ukraine, Iran, Israel, Latvia, Lithuania, Zech Republic, Italy and
other countries.

The opening and closing ceremonies will take place in `Moscow’
cinema. The film presentations will take place in big hall of the
Armenian Filmmakers.

Filmmakers from Armenia, who were not more than 35 years, had the
opportunity to participate in the festival, and films that have been
shot in 2007-2009. The applications for participation have been
presented till June 1 of this year. The films have been presented in
VHS and DVD format.

`The festival gives the opportunity to the youth to present their
films on a big screen, which they are not able to do in any other
place as well as to find new talents who are our future’, – told
N. Ordyan.

The festival also gives an opportunity to the youth to present their
films in several foreign youth festivals.

At the end of the festival the participants will get prizes and money
awards for the following nominations: `Grand Prix’, `The best film
director work’, `The best cameramen work’, `The best feature film’,
`The best documentary film’, and `The best student
film’. The winner of the `Best animated film’ will get a prize and a
souvenir.

N. Ordyan informed that the staff of the festival jury will be known
on the opening day. It is kept in secrete to keep the objectivity.
