Hillary Clinton: Status quo in the Karabakh issue inadmissible

Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov met with the U.S.
Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in New York, APA reports referring
to the Press Service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan.

The arties discussed the Nagorno Karabakh conflict and other regional
issues. Hillary Clinton stated that the status quo in the Karabakh
issue was inadmissible and noted the commitment of the new U.S.
administration to solve the conflict soon.

Elmar Mammadyarov expressed his gratitude for the attention of the U.S.
administration and noted that `peace and stability can be ensured in
the South Caucasus only due to the solution of the conflict within the
framework of Azerbaijan’s sovereignty, territorial integrity and
inviolability of its internationally recognized borders.’
