Aram Adam Markosian passed away Sept. 16 in Detroit, Mich., following
a devastating illness. Born on Oct. 24, 1984, in Southfield, Mich., he
was one of three sons born to Zareh and Madlen Markosian. Aram
received his education and graduated from Livonia’s Stevenson High
School. He then attended Schoolcraft College and studied business
management. Using this knowledge, Aram worked in a managerial position
in his uncle’s jewelry store.
Aram met Christina Bastajian, whom he lovingly called his `darling.’
She and her family grew to know and love him in return.
An outgoing young man who touched peoples’ hearts wherever he went,
Aram was well-liked in the community. He was a member of the
Homenetmen and enjoyed attending the AYF Olympics.
He was a loving and thoughtful son and brother. He would be at his
younger brother’s sports games, encouraging him on. Or, in his leisure
time, Aram could be seen happily riding his motorcycle. Aram ended
each day, peacefully playing his guitar at night.
A man of faith, Aram came to know the Lord through the gentle guidance
of the Very Rev. Father Andon Atamian. For all he went through in his
last illness, Aram’s family and friends are now comforted by the
knowledge that Aram has finally found his eternal peace in the loving,
warm arms of the Lord.
