The RA Minister of Defence Receives the US and UK Experts

On the 25th of September, 2009 the RA Minister of Defence received the
US and UK expert group which was in Armenia for consulting reasons in
the sphere of defence strategic review.
Introducing the RA Defence Strategic Review process to the experts,
Seyran Ohanyan stated that by the commission of the RA President the
work of the 3rd stage of review has already started, which will give an
opportunity to elaborate long term programs for the development of the
Armed Forces. It was underlined, that as a result of the work done, it
is now possible to swiftly repair and, should it be necessary, modify
the defence capabilities.
The international experts presented to the RA Minister of Defence the
outcomes of their work done during the visit. Highly appreciating the
consultations of the international experts, Seyran Ohanyan hoped that
in the future, too, they will continue to cooperate with the newly
formed Department of Strategic Planning of the General Staff of the RA
Armed Forces.
