Foreign Minister of Armenia starts his visit to New York
Edward Nalbandian had a meeting with the OSCE Minsk Group
On September 26, Foreign Minister of Armenia Edward Nalbandian arrived
in New York for a working visit.
On the same day Armenian Foreign Minister had a meeting with the OSCE
Minsk Group Co-Chairs Bernard Fassier, Robert Bradtke, Yuri Merzlyakov
and Andrzej Kasprzyk, the Personal Representative of the OSCE
Chairman-in-Office.
Edward Nalbandian welcomed the appointment of Robert Bradtke as the
OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chair and expressed hope that the wide experience
and skills gained during the years of his diplomatic service would be
useful for the process of settlement of Artsakh (Nagorno Karabakh)
issue.
During the meeting, which lasted nearly two hours, they discussed
issues concerning the negotiations on the settlement of the Artsakh
issue.
They also touched upon the possibility of Co-Chairs’ visit to the
region to organize the next meeting of Presidents of Armenia and
Azerbaijan Serzh Sargsyan and Ilham Aliev. -0-
