State Leaders to Honor Local Women
Annual Women in Business luncheon to be hosted by area dignitaries
BURBANK – Three Legislative leaders of the California State Assembly and
State Senate are set to host the 10th annual Women in Business
Legislative Update and Awards Luncheon Friday, Oct. 9. This year’s
ceremony features film producer Gale Anne Hurd as the keynote speaker
and KCBS/KCAL reporter Suzie Suh as the mistress of ceremonies.
State Sen. Carol Liu (D- La Cañada Flintridge), Assemblyman Paul
Krekorian (D-Burbank) and Assemblyman Anthony Portantino (D-La Cañada
Flintridge) will honor 25 outstanding women from their respective
districts who exemplify success throughout their professional fields in
Burbank, Duarte, Glendale, La Cañada, Los Angeles, Montrose and
Pasadena.
The event will take place on Friday, Oct. 9, 2009, at the Pasadena
Hilton Hotel International Ballroom, 168 S. Los Robles Ave., Pasadena.
Tickets for individuals are $30 and groups of 10 can purchase a table
for $300.
