OVER A YEAR OF FUNCTIONING OF 3G NETWORK OF ARMENTEL COMPANY, VOLUME OF DATA TRANSMISSION BY ARMENTEL SUBSCRIBERS GREW 4.5 TIMES

ArmInfo. Over a year of functioning of the 3G network of ArmenTel
company (Beeline brand), the volume of data transmission by ArmenTel
subscribers grew 4.5 times, the company’s press-release sent to ArmInfo
says. The 3G networks secure a data transmission speed of up to 7.2
Mb/sec, opening for the mobile communication subscribers an access
to both the best quality of existing services and completely new
innovation services: high-speed access to internet, mobile television,
video calls, etc.

The construction of the new generation convergent network and
delivery of the equipment for the 3G network to the large integrated
communication operator of Armenia were carried out by Ericsson company
on the basis of IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) solution. "The need in
data transmission is growing with every passing day, and in the near
future we intend to considerably expand and modernize the existing 3G
network, which will allow considerably increasing the data transmission
speed",- said Director General of ArmenTel CJSC Igor Klimko.

For his part, Ericsson Head of Market Unit Eastern Europe and
Central Asia Jan Campbell pointed out that the impressing growth of
traffic in the 3G network of ArmenTel proves that the subscribers
highly appreciated the high quality of the progressive convergent
services. Within the frames of partnership with ArmenTel, Ericsson
is going to actively contribute to further introduction of innovative
solutions in the country, he added.
