President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan sent a
congratulation message to Angela Merkel on the occasion of
Christian-Democrats’ victory in the election in Bundestag, Federal
Republic of Germany.
The message says:
"Honourable Mrs. Merkel,
On behalf of the Armenian people and myself, I kindly congratulate
you on the victory of your Christian Democratic Union Party in the
election in Bundestag, Federal Republic of Germany.
I am sure the government formed in the result of your convincing
victory with its activities will contribute to Germany’s further
prosperity, the strengthening and development of peace in Europe,
as well as broadening and deepening Armenian-German relations.
Taking this opportunity, I wish you more and more successes,
and happiness to our friends, the German people. According to our
agreement during our meeting in Munich, February 2009, I also invite
you to visit Armenia whenever it is suitable for you."
