ArmenTel sponsors opening of first distant learning class in Armenia
YEREVAN, OCTOBER 3, NOYAN TAPAN. The first distant learning class
opened at Yerevan school No 55 on October 2. The project was sponsored
by ArmenTel CJSC.
The distant learning system was introduced at the school by ArmenTel in
cooperation with Alfa company. According to Commercial Director of Alfa
Arthur Gharibian, the system is based on Polycom QDX6000 video
conferencing solution with the respective software package. It was
installed in 16 classrooms of the school, enabling the users to connect
with each other, as well as any distant user.
"It is a school of the 21st century, a school of the future. An
interactive class is a bold solution, and ArmenTel is proud to sponsor
innovations at Armenian schools," Director General I. Klimenko stated
at the official opening of the distant learning class. In his words,
the distant learning class was established as part of ArmenTel’s
strategy aimed at assisting education, children and youth and
developing the high-tech sector.
