Presidents meeting is significant: Lawrence Schitz

`The upcoming meeting of Armenian and Azerbaijani Presidents: Serzh
Sargsyan and Ilham Aliyev in Chisinau is a significant one, as it will
coincide with Armenian-Turkish reconciliation process,’ Lawrence
Schitz, International Crisis Group expert on the Caucasus stated.
According to him, Karabakh conflict is a complicated frozen dispute,
however there was progress in the negotiation process between Armenian
and Azerbaijani Presidents, Azerbaijani APA news agency reports. `The
Presidents held five meetings last year. It was the most progressive
period in the past 15 years of the conflict. The Chisinau meeting is
important also for that Azerbaijan’s ally Turkey and Armenia began to
normalize their relations,’ Lawrence Schitz said.
