Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan took part October 3 in the
joint ceremonial session of the Council of Yerevan State University
and its Scientific Council organized within the frameworks of the
90th anniversary of YSU.
Public relations department of the Armenian Government told Armenpress
that in his speech T. Sargsyan expressed confidence that there is the
will and capacities to change the university so that it becomes one
of the best educational establishments in the world. "I do not see
any obstacles for you together with us to realize such a brave and
pretentious project. This is the path for Armenian prosperity. If we
do not have one of the best universities in the world we will not be
able to claim to be a competitive nation in the world." On behalf of
the Armenian Government the Prime Minister assured that he is ready
to assist in bringing the project into life. T. Sargsyan handed Medals
of RA Prime Minister and certificates to the YSU honored.
