During the President’s pan-Armenian tour protests by Armenian
communities were organized; as it is important in this stage to hear
both positive and negative opinions, Arpi Vardanyan the director of
Armenian Assembly of American Armenia and Karabakh offices told at
news conference. It’s worth reminding that the assembly hailed the
Armenian-Turkish protocols.

"It’s an emotional issue. I am emotional to that issue either. But
we should put them away and be cool minded when thinking of the
problem. We should think what is important for Armenia," Arpi
Vardanyan said.

Mrs. Vardanyan says it is difficult to sign a document with rival
state.

Signifying President’s pan-Armenian tour, she said that
effective mechanisms should be drafted to found Armenia-Diaspora
cooperation. Regarding the point that the signing of the protocols
would create a gap between us, she said that much depends on us,
as the process could contribute to the improvement of those ties.
