The topic of the Armenian and Turkish relations is a very sensitive
topic for each Armenian. In Armenia, unlike the Diaspora, there is
no public movement and protest in connection with the pre-signed
documents. People are just following the developments with anxiety
and attention, says the Candidate of Psychological Science Karine
Nalchajyan.

The psychologist divided the home moods into three groups. The
first group is formed of people who are strictly against the
border opening. The second group is composed of those who are
for the establishment of relations with Turkey but without only
preconditions. And there is the third group who thinks that the
border has to be immediately open because on this depends the people’s
welfare. According to Nalchajyan, the opinion of this kind of people
is very dangerous and outrageous. Turkey managed to drive a wedge into
Armenia and the Diaspora. The situation is becoming very dangerous
from the national-economic point for Armenia, says Nalchajyan.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
