ARMENIAN PRIME MINISTER PRESENTS CURRENT ECONOMIC SITUATION TO INTERNATIONAL MONETARY FUND’S EXECUTIVE DIRECTORS

YEREVAN, October 12, /ARKA/. Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sarkisian
presented today the current Armenian economic situation and development
perspectives to the delegation of the International Monetary Fund’s
executive directors.
The government press office told ARKA that during the meeting the
sides spoke about the status of projects and reforms implemented
by Armenian government, development of infrastructure and regional
cooperation issues.
The International Monetary Fund’s executive directors have
arrived in Armenia from Georgia and will visit also Uzbekistan and
Turkmenistan. In a statement, the IMF said the mission will explore
ways to assist these countries in their efforts to respond to the
global crisis.
