Today the head of the Standing Parliamentary Committee for Credits
and Finances, the Republicans member Gagik Minasyan and Armenian
National Congress’s representative Karapet Rubinyan held debates on
signed Armenian-Turkish protocols.
The parties got only one single issue: unexampled changes are expected
in region.
In Mr. Minasyan opinion, it will take a long time before the protocols
ratified. He believes that many barriers will be overcome through
Presidents’ statements including his handing on key issues.
The deputy noted that during this period the international community
has clearly understood two points: A – Armenia’s openness to
reconciliation without preconditions and B – no deviation from the
provisions set in deal is possible. He also mentioned that there was
one more declaration on Genocide of 1915s.
"Constitutionally the declaration has no legal basis, and changes
nothing in signed protocols," said Rubinyan. "The night activities"
were due to Washington’s daytime. According to politician, the second
phase starts involving Armenia in anti-Armenian decision on solution
of Karabakh problem. This process is underway, he thinks, that is
why President Sargsyan is visiting Moscow.
Gagik Minasyan called his opponents arguments not justified noting
that protocols don’t contain any issue of Karabakh and Genocide. He
guaranteed that in future there cannot be an anti-Armenian solution
regarding to Karabakh.
"Then neither border opening no diplomatic relations will be,"
said Rubinyan.
