ARF HOLDS MEETING REGARDLESS THE PREVENTION

"The meeting in any case will take place as the denial of the
Municipality is not in the framework of the law", – announced Vahan
Hovhannisyan, the head of the ARF in National Assembly.
The Armenian Revolutionary Fraction was planning to hold a meeting
next the "Moscow" cinema on October 16, which was forbidden by the
Municipality of Yerevan.
According to V. Hovhannisyan "The Municipality, according to the law,
had to offer an alternative place for the same day and the same time,
or the same place but another day".
"It wasn’t done it means the denial is not in the limits of the law
and they have informed us orally that there on that time will take
place another event for children", – told us V. Hovhanisyan.
The head of the fraction informed also that they have inquired what
type of event is going to be held there "they said that the information
about the event is available on the official site of the Municipality."
According to V. Hovhannisyan his employees have looked for such
information on the Municipality and similar sites but have not found
any kind of event. Besides that he informed that when they during
there oral talk have informed the Municipality about there intention
to make the meeting in another place the latter has told them "we
will organize another event in that place too."
"This makes clear that the problem is not in organizing an event,
but the desire of preventing. Such a wish can’t be considered by us",
– underlined V. Hovhannisyan summing up is speech.
