Two activists of the Heritage Party – Head of the youth wing Daniel
Ioannesyan and another young man — were detained for distributing
leaflets at Yerevan State University (YSU), Press Secretary of the
Heritage Party Hovsep Khurshudyan told NEWS.am.

He pointed out that the YSU security officers brought the two to
the police station, where they were told that they were carrying
out anti-state activities. According to Khurshudyan, the leaflets
contain excerpts from Raffi Hovhannisyan’s message to the Armenian
people and the most dangerous points of the Armenian-Turkish protocols.

"After the talks, policemen agreed to let the guys go," he said.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
