SAFARYAN: TURKEY HAS NO PROBLEMS WITH THE PROTOCOLS

"Yesterday’s match in its political meaning once more time marks
that after all Armenia’s policy in Armenia-Turkey policy-making will
extremely based on defensive strategy while Turkey has offensive
interests definitely indicated in protocols," said head of Heritage
Parliamentary Faction Stepan Safaryan.
Speaking about ratification of Armenian-Turkish protocols in both
county’s Parliaments Safaryan said that "Turkey hasn’t any problems
related to protocols: none item violates its interests, that is Armenia
should have concerns." He also mentioned that it cannot be by chance
that Turkish analysts and politicians don’t see any threat in pacts.
Stepan Safatyan told about the talk Heritage member Larisa Alaverdyan
had with Turkish deputies at PACE session. Thus, the Turkish side’s
representatives pointed that "they have no problems with protocols’
content; the matter is that ratification to assist Karabakh problem
settlement".
"Turkish are trying to benefit from this process and help its junior
partner, therefore, their side openly declares that will reach its
political goals through these protocols."
