OVER 70 AGREEMENTS SIGNED DURING THE WORK OF ARMENIAN-UKRAINIAN INTERGOVERNMENTAL COMMISSION

ArmInfo. Over 70 agreements have been signed during the work of the
Armenian-Ukrainian intergovernmental commission, Economy Minister
of Armenia Nerses Yeritsyan said today during the Armenian-Ukrainian
intergovernmental commission session in Yerevan.

It is expected to sign another two intergovernmental agreements
during today’s session: On the policy in sports and youth affairs
and the Customs statistics exchange. ‘I consider it necessary to not
that establishment and further extension of direct contacts of the
business representatives of our countries form the basis of extension
of Armenia – Ukraine trade-economic cooperation’, the minister said. he
also indicated the prospects of cooperation in education, science,
culture, agriculture and other spheres.

To recall, goods turnover between Armenia and Ukraine for the first
half year 2009 made up $86,4 mln, that exceeds the indicator of the
similar period of 2008 by 25,9%. Export from Armenia made up $6,3
mln, import – $80,1 mln. Total volume of investments from Ukraine to
Armenia since 1991 to the first half year 2009 made up about $4,5 mln,
$3,8 mln of which are direct investments.
