ADVENTURES IN A FARM NEAR DIKANKA TO BE FILMED IN ARMENIA

In frames of the Fifth International Festival of films for children and
youth, launched on October 15 in Yerevan, the premiere of the film,
directed by Nickolai Denisov "Adventures in a farm near Dikanka"
was held.

"I was lucky to present for the first time my film in Yerevan at the
festival. This is my long-cherished dream, to visit Armenia. Once I
played the role of an Armenian in the youth theater," Nikolay Denisov
told a press conference today.

According to the producer, a TV film is shot on the order of the
Moscow government within 18 days in Ukraine.

"My film "Adventures in a Farm near Dikanka " is about childhood,
summer, friendship and the feeling of first love. It is very inspiring
film. I hope to shoot continuation of the film in Armenia, " the
director said.

He also stressed: "Children’s films are, in fact, very rare now. We
should not deprive children of their childhood. We have grown watching
children’s films. I am very happy such festivals are held. They are
very important for the development of our children and the revival
of children’s and youth films.

The artistic director of the Children’s and youth Film and TV
Development Armenian Fund "Rolan Bykov" Neli Alelova said: "I promise
the fund will provide all resources to continue the production of
the movie "Adventures in a Farm near Dikanka" in Armenia.

The Fifth International Festival of Children’s and Youth Films is held
at the initiative of the Children’s and youth Film and TV Development
Armenian Fund after Rolan Bykov and aims to develop children’s interest
in movies, giving them the opportunity to watch the best children’s
and youth films produced over the past few years.

This year the festival will show 51 films produced in 23 countries.

The festival will also organize give master classes of renowned
producers. The festival will mark 80 years of Sos Sargsyan, Yervand
Manaryan and Rolan Bykov.
