ArmInfo. Nairit Plant has re-launched the chloroprene rubber production
cycle.
The operations control service of Nairit Plant CJSC reports that
on October 20 the first 20 tons of chloroprene were supplied for
production. It is envisaged to receive the first lot of rubber within
the next 10-15 days. Chloroprene has been produced at the workshop
which was restored after the 14 May 2009 accident.
To recall, the operation of the plant was suspended for repair-recovery
work on 12 June 2009 because of the production accidence. 4 people
died and 8 were injured as a result of the accidence, the reasons of
which are being investigated. The owner of 90% of the plant shares
is the international company Rhinoville Property Limited, and 10%
of the shares belong to the state.
Rhin®ville Property Limited was founded by Samex (Poland), Intertex
(US) and Eurogas (Russia). The plant produced 5414 tons of rubber in
2008, and 534 tons in Jan-Aug 2009.
