NALBANDIAN DISCUSSES ARMENIAN-TURKISH PROCESS WITH U.S. DEPUTY ASSISTANT STATE SECRETARY TINA KAIDANOW

On October 20, Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian welcomed
U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian
Affairs Tina Kaidanow.
As announced by the press and information department of the Armenian
foreign ministry, Nalbandian expressed hope that the experience and
skill gained by Kaidanow during the years of her diplomatic service
will be useful for the development of the bilateral relations.
During the meeting, both sides discussed prospects in the development
of bilateral relations. Nalbandian said that Armenia attaches
importance to deepening substantial relations and strengthening
partnership and cooperation with the U.S.
The interlocutors exchanged ideas on the establishment process
of Armenian-Turkish relations. In that context, Edward Nalbandian
thanked Kaidanow for the U.S.’s assistance to the process and the
efforts made to that end.
Nalbandian and Kaidanow referred to the latest developments in
the negotiation process over the peaceful settlement of Nagorno-
Karabakh issue.
