/PanARMENIAN.Net/ In a speech delivered in Grand National Assembly,
Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu introduced to Turkish
parliamentarians to Armenian-Turkish Protocols signed in Zurich.

Turkish official stressed the main target of Ankara’s foreign policy,
i.e. peace and stability around Turkey. "We are trying to create an
atmosphere of mutual trust in the region and consolidate a ground
of political dialogue. The current status quo in the Caucasus does
not correspond to our vision because there are frozen crises which
can emerge and lead to a security problem in the region," Davutoglu
stressed. Turkish FM again touched upon the issue of "occupied
Azerbaijani lands", noting that status quo might prevent effective
steps by Turkey.

"We have three important targets to this end. First of all, we need to
establish good neighborly relations with Armenia. Secondly, we want to
set up a channel of healthy communication between Turkish and Armenian
peoples. And thirdly, we aim at accelerating the process to resolve
the Upper Karabakh dispute between Azerbaijan and Armenia," he said.

Davutoglu also added that, "neither Armenia nor any other country could
dare to claim any part of Turkish territories. And the protocols we
signed with Armenia ensure this." "Kars and Moscow agreements arrange
borders between Turkey and Armenia. The protocol made references to
those agreements."

Noting that Turkey’s efforts for the territorial integrity of
Azerbaijan would continue without any disruption, Davutoglu said
that he, President Abdullah Gul and Premier Recep Tayyip Erdogan
always told that the basic issue in this subject was Karabakh issue,
Anatolian News Agency reports.
