TURKEY GIVES NOTE TO AZERBAIJAN AFTER FLAG CRISIS

Azerbaijan reaffirmed that Turkey gave a note to Azerbaijani Foreign
Ministry.
Turkey on Wednesday gave a diplomatic note to Azerbaijan over removal
of the Turkish flags in front of the Council for Religious Affairs
of the Turkish Embassy in Azerbaijan.
Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry Spokesman Elhan Polhov reaffirmed that
Turkey gave a note to Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry.
Workers of municipality removed the Turkish flag in front of the
Council for Religious Affairs without making any statement.
Turkish flags in front of Turkish Martyrdom, Turkish schools and
various Turkish buildings were removed after Azerbaijani flags were not
allowed in the football match between Turkey and Armenia on October
14 played in western province of Bursa, following a FIFA decision
not to allow flags of third countries in the stadium.
Turkish PM Recep Tayyip Erdogan warned Azerbaijan on Tuesday against
provocation in bilateral relations.
"The Martyrdom Mosque in the Azerbaijani martyrdom is what really hurts
us. I believe that our Azerbaijani brothers will very well assess what
hauling down of the Turkish flag in the martyrdom meant," Erdogan said.
