MANY WISH TO SOW DISCORD WITHIN AZERBAIJAN AND TURKEY

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan commented on recent
developments in Azerbaijan, Turkish Vatan daily reports.

"We will not take any step against Azerbaijan, however, we see certain
forces striving to sow discord within Azerbaijan and Turkey, sparing
no effort in doing so. Turkish and Azerbaijani people should neglect
actions of these provocateurs. We know that Azerbaijani flag is as
sacred as Turkish, just as Turkish and Azerbaijani lands. Azerbaijani
interests to be of same priority as the Turkish ones. Azerbaijani
sadness is our pain, and their happiness-is our happiness. Those
seeking to harm Azerbaijani-Turkish relations do their utmost. As is
known, one can find these people in Turkey too. Our people saw those
turning FIFA decision into provocations during Turkey-Armenia football
match. Azerbaijani nations should ignore these dirty games. Azerbaijan
knows what the removal of Turkish flags near the victims’ memorial
means. I am confident that Azerbaijani brothers will comment on the
matter as well," Erdogan said.
