THE MOTHER SEE PUBLISHED SECTIONS FROM GRIGOR NAREKATSI’S "BOOK OF PRAYER" AND THE "BASICS OF THEOLOGY" BY ALISTER E. MACK-GRET

ETCHMIADZIN, 19 OCTOBER, NOYAN TAPAN-ARMENIANS TODAY: The publishing
department of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin has published the
"Book of Prayer" foreseen for daily prayers. The book recaps the
sections from Grigor Narekatsi’s "Book of Prayer" in Modern Armenian
and Russian. The book was prepared for publication by trustee of the
Mother See, priest Artak Tigranyan and was published under patronage
of Armen Ter-Vardanyan. As reported by the Information System of the
Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, the publishing department has also
released the "Basics of Theology" by 20th century notable theologian
Alister E. Mack-Gret and the book was translated to English by
Friar Gevorg Saroyan from the Mother See. The book tells about the
main themes of theology, including faith, God, the creation, Jesus
Christ, salvation, the Holy Trinity, the Church and more. Every chapter
features a brief description of each theme, the historical development
and affirmation, presents texts from the Bible and recaps the results
of the studies of "Christian theology by leading thinkers throughout
the centuries".
