RESIDENT REPRESENTATIVE OF ARMENIA TO UN: AZERBAIJAN BREAKS THE QUOTES FIXED BY CFE

ArmInfo. Representatives of Armenia and Azerbaijan made a speech today
in the First Committee of UN General Assembly when discussing the topic
‘Regional disarmament and security’.
In his speech resident representative of Armenia to UN, Ambassador
Karen Nazaryan touched on importance of international and regional
organizations, in particular, UN and OSCE and significance of treaties
and agreements on disarmament adopted within the frames of these
organizations.
He drew attention at the fact of breaking of the CFE quotas by
Azerbaijan and said that Azerbaijan continues arming. Nazaryan said
that such violations and the bellicose and anti-Armenian statements by
Azerbaijani leaders are dangerous for the regional security and may
negatively affect peaceful negotiating process on Karabakh conflict
settlement.
The speech of the Azerbaijani party was mainly full of ‘20% of the
occupied territories, million of refugees and the armament hidden by
Armenia in Nagornyy Karabakh’.
