ARMENIA-TURKEY RAPPROCHEMENT WILL STABILIZE SITUATION IN SOUTH CAUCASUS

/PanARMENIAN.Net/ Armenia-Turkey rapprochement will stabilize the
situation in South Caucasus, Caucasus Institute Director, politologist
Alexander Iskandaryan told a news conference in Yerevan.

"Establishment of Armenia-Turkey relations will signal serous changes
in the region. Obviously, the role of a Georgia as a transit country
will be diminished and some of projects planned subjected to risks,"
Alexander Iskandaryan said.

According to him, Iran’s presence in the region will become more
significant. Azerbaijan’s position will considerably weaken in case
of Yerevan -Ankara ties normalization, the politologist noted.
